NOMINATIONS & ENTRY GUIDE
The Bonfire Employee Appreciation Awards is for employees who innovate and are the bread and butter of their organisation, rather than those deemed successful based on the scale or seniority of their role. Our goal is to encourage organisations to show appreciation to these linchpin employees by nominating them for an award.
Candidates will be judged on their ability to achieve positive outcomes through leadership, innovation and action. The judging panel will give consideration to:
- Employees who demonstrate a strong work ethic and are self-starters
- Those who use innovation to deliver on important goals
- Dependability; employees who consistently follow through
- Those who maintain a positive attitude, especially in the face of adversity
- Employees who are team-oriented and make the most out of collaboration
- Effective communicators who favour clarity and are always one-step-ahead
- Those who demonstrate flexibility and adaptability
Judges are looking for employees who invest time and energy into their role, team, and organisation to achieve meaningful goals and make positive changes every day. These are the employees who identify what needs to be done and use their skills to help change the status quo.
Who should enter?
Everyone knows someone who strives to create positive change in their industry or organisation, and this is your chance to give that person the recognition they deserve.
Their work ethic, adaptability and positive attitude helps encourage others and energises them to do more. These are the employees who bring up the bottom line.
The awards programme is open to all entrants, from farm gate to high-rise, who have excelled in their organisation or industry. Your nominations will help showcase the excellent work of these people and will extend their influence beyond their own networks.
Eligibility
To be eligible for a Bonfire Employee Appreciation Award, the nominee must be employed by or volunteer for a New Zealand organisation.
Nominees must be 16 years or older, and must be citizens of or have residency or a work permit in New Zealand.
You are not eligible to enter the Awards if you are an employee of Bonfire, an employee of any company associated with the Awards, or an immediate family member of such employees.
Entry best practice
We appreciate if you can be concise when telling your nominee’s story, and include relevant examples.
The ideal entry will be a short summary of the nominees success(es), clearly demonstrating their unique talents and ability to influence positive outcomes in their industry or organisation.
The judges will look for quality and impact rather than the scale of actions or seniority of the nominee, to encourage a wide range of nominations from all industries and role levels.
